DBSX - Basic Drilling Sub Sea - $300 Successful completion of this course satisfies the requirements established by Title 30 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 250, Subpart O, for basic well control for drilling operations and subsea operations. The course is intended for drilling supervisors, operator representatives, drillers, toolpushers, and relief drillers. This course is designed to give the student a working understanding of well control and the problems normally associated with pressure control. Major learning objectives include hydrostatic pressure calculations, formation pressures and their source, shut-in-procedures, blowout prevention equipment (BOP), and special problems. Using a simulator the students drill into their own kick and exercise shut-in-procedures to get the well under control, then they calculate a kill sheet and practice kill procedures to kill the well. During this session the students simulate having special problems that could be encountered as well. CLASS STARTING EVERY MONDAY |
