WCFH Well Control for Floorhands - $150 Successful completion of this course satisfies the requirements established by Title 30 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 250, Subpart O, for floorhand training. The course is intended for drilling floorhands. This course is designed to give the student a working understanding of well control and the problems normally associated with pressure control. Major learning objectives include hydrostatic pressure, formation pressures and their source, signs and causes of kicks, shut-in-procedures, blowout prevention equipment (BOP), and special problems. After six hours of class time the students are to participate in a drill at the rig site. CLASS HELD EVERY FRIDAY |
