The Adult Corrections Officer Core course (Bakersfield College course # CADM B54) is a formal, structured, job-related training program, approved by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation-Corrections Standards Authority, for professional personnel entering one of three key, local corrections departments. The core course is introductory training, to be completed within the first year of employment or prior to employment. It is a critical part of the overall requirements to reach journey-level status.
STUDENTS MUST ATTEND AN ORIENTATION PRIOR TO REGISTRATION.
