Train For Success
Natalie began her studies at Taft College in 2015 and is currently in qualifiers. Natalie is a graduate of Cal State University, Monterey Bay, with a degree in kinesiology. After graduation, Natalie remained in the Monterey area, where she worked a series of jobs related to her kinesiology degree. Lacking a sense of direction in her chosen career path, Natalie decided to move back home to Bakersfield and to instead attend Taft College, where she has thrived while studying court reporting.
Natalie is an excellent student with almost perfect attendance. She has a huge heart and is a regular volunteer for the Special Olympics, a substitute special education teacher, visits shut-ins, and she regularly helps out with church fundraisers and funerals. She is also an Italian Heritage Dante Association board member and fluent in Italian. After court reporting school, Natalie says she intends to be a mentor because she is very empathetic to the struggles of being a student.
We at CalDRA cannot think of a more appropriate way to honor the memory of a treasured friend of the organization than by awarding this special scholarship to Natalie. Congratulations to you, Natalie. We are very proud of your hard work, and we wish you success in all your future endeavors!
Thanks to the generous donation of a special friend and colleague of late reporter Kelli Rinaudo, who served as District 1 Director prior to her passing, CalDRA is honored to use these monies to extend a special scholarship in Ms. Rinaudo's name. CalDRA is thrilled to announce that the recipient of this memorial student scholarship, in the amount of $750, is Natalie Steele.
